Do jinn, magic, the eye, touch and envy really exist? Or is it dreams, imagination, and delusions held?
I am not going to lengthen and elaborate here, and I do not need to, for all of them are proven through transmission, either with the evidence of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, or the actions of the predecessors and the Islamic scholars, as well as through the history of other nations and peoples; The books and literature on this are many and abundant, as they are fixed by observation with the mind, and their symptoms are felt through the senses. The Qur’an referred to the origin of magic in Surat Al-Baqarah (2: 102), and the commentators gave explanations and great details in that, and the Qur’an confirmed that Moses and those present around him were enchanted (Surah Taha 20: 66-70) on the Day of Adornment, and the word “witchcraft” is mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an for forty times and The Sunnah proves that the Prophet ﷺ was bewitched
On the authority of Aisha, may God bless him and grant him peace: “The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was bewitched, to the extent that it seemed to him that he had done something that he did not.”
(Al-Bukhari; Chapter “Is a dhimmi pardoned if he bewitched?”)
And that the mother of the believers, Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her), was also bewitched (), and that the mother of the believers, Hafsah (May Allah be pleased with her), was also bewitched, and the verse of Surat Al-Qalam narrated that the infidels wanted the Messenger (peace be upon him), to hit with the evil eye as mentioned in (Surah Qalam : Ayat 61), and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) confirmed in more than one place that the evil eye is true as mentioned:
On the authority of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه), he said: The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “The eye is true, even if something preceded predestination, then the evil will precede it.” (Sahih Muslim; Chapter “Medicine, disease, and ruqyah)
And his repetition to confirm the reality of the eye is evidence of his Prophethood and miracles, as it is as if Allah had taught him that people would deny the evil eye. Rather, He (peace be upon him), made it clear that the eye is the most common cause that leads to death, but we would have neglected that.
As he, peace be upon him, showed us the ways of treatment to get rid of the eye by taking the trace and ruqyah,
On the authority of Aisha, who said: “The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), commanded me, or commanded, to seek protection from the evil eye.” (Sahih Bukhari; medicine book; Ruqayyah).
Can Jinn afflict Children of Adam ?
The Qur’an emphasized touch in the verse of usury in Surat Al-Baqarah (2:275)
Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, "Trade is [just] like interest." But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But whoever returns [to dealing in interest or usury] - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.— (Translation by Saheeh International)
Thus from all the evidences sighted in this article we can conclude that indeed it is true and We seek Allah's help to protect us from all the evil of this world.
